Dynamic Interaction Modeling™
Fender Collection 2 for AmpliTube provides spot-on tone, dynamics and feel thanks to the debut of the evolution of IK’s industry-leading modeling technologies. It ushers in a completely new approach to analog modeling, Dynamic Interaction Modeling™, that recreates not only every individual physical component in the amplifier’s design, but also the nonlinear behavior between each component and its effect on other components in the circuit. This approach provides a new unmatched level of realism, touch and feel never before realized in other analog modeled products.

Classic Fender tone on the desktop/laptop
Fender Collection 2 for AmpliTube recreates the historic and diverse Fender legacy in virtual form. IK software engineers worked painstakingly with the Fender engineering team to ensure that each amplifier and cabinet has been rendered with the same degree of integrity and attention to detail that goes into the company’s physical products – all controls and operation have been replicated to provide exacting performance and function. The amplifiers and cabinets available in Fender Collection 2 for AmpliTube include officially certified models from the ’57 Custom series, including the ’57 Custom Twin-Amp, the ’57 Deluxe, the ’57 Custom Champ, the ’57 Custom Pro and the ’57 BandMaster. There’s also a model of an original ’53 Bassman 1×15 featuring an “aging” switch that switches between “new old stock” and a “burned in” model, plus an original ’65 Super Reverb.

Built for AmpliTube

Cinematique Instruments Releases Mociula Modular Synth Bundle for Kontakt

Mociula is a bundle of synths instruments trying to work like a modular system. It consists of several different tools or modules such as synths generators, effects, filters, a sequencer, a sampler and some other useful as well as unique tools.

But surely – as a KONTAKT instrument – there are no options to combine tools at your own requirements, connect cables or change tools/ modules within the instruments. Mociula is not a free-patchable system like you find it in the hardware world. All instruments are predefined and fixed in structure.

Right now there 5 instruments which will be described in the following: FRAME – ROW – SCAPER – RISE – TAPE

The fundament of each system.
A sine/square oscillator with exciting features: stepless tune, rhythm gate, distortion, layer mode. Frame is also equipped with an effect rack with a 4 pole filter and resonance, delay, reverb and a compressor and finally a bitcrusher – ready to destruct your audio. Enriched by an oscilloscope. Astonishing what this module comes out with. and vintage.

The Sequencer
A 16 step SEQUENCER combined with a sound generator and SHAPE, a complex effect module – this is what ROW consists of. The sequencer has a range of 4 octaves, 3 accents level and a bordun note feature. Additionally features are a sine/ square, a controllable glide and length and distortion. The effect section provides a reverb, a delay, 2 types of filter and a compressor and nuch more.

Make some subtile ambiances and textures
The perfect module to add some unique and subtle background to your music. The fundament is a sound generator which layers 4 well assorted sounds and ambiences – each of them is separately controllable. The sounds can be shaped by a 3 band spectral filter with many options. Finally your sound can be enhanced by a reverb/ delay section

The endless fall.
Rise is very special module which is based on the Shepard Tone. It constantly creates the auditory illusion of a tone which ascends or descends in pitch over and over with no end. You can select between two sound sources, change the tempo and add some reverb, delay or filter to it. It is a great experience.

Let it roll
This is a tape machine simulator featuring 8 different tapes loops with very different sounds from Lama Chanting over Bike Chains Noises to Water Drops. The module is a reminiscence of Musique concrète – making music out of surrounding sounds. By activating the gate the tapes are starting to get rhythmically. Adjust the length knob and patch in more tapes to change it. Again, it is a great experience.s !

The pricing for all Mociula is 72 EUR – the Frame, Row and Scaper instrument is each 28 EUR

Softube announces Console 1 Mk II

LINKÖPING, SWEDEN: high-end plug-in specialist Softube is proud to announce Console 1 Mk II — an upgraded version of its award-winning hardware/software mixing system, representing an enormous leap forward from its predecessor with support for selected UAD Powered Plug-ins from Universal Audio and a substantial, permanent price drop — at The 2017 NAMM Show, January 19-22 in Anaheim, California…

Originally released in 2014, Softube Console 1 quickly earned a large and dedicated following, receiving prestigious awards and rave reviews in the pro audio press. With its tightly integrated hardware and software, and the included emulation of a Solid State Logic SL 4000 E console, Console 1 offered the best of the digital and analog worlds in a compact system.

Today, Softube announces Console 1 Mk II, an upgrade that addresses the most frequent user requests. Firstly, the new software — also available to owners of the first-generation Console 1 — makes it possible to use Console 1 with selected UAD Powered Plug-Ins from Universal Audio. There are now over 60 world-class plug-ins that can be used from within the Console 1 system, including plug-ins based on units from Chandler Limited, Fairchild, Teletronix, Tube-Tech, Abbey Road Studios, and many more. The plug-ins are pre-mapped and easily selectable from the Console 1 software, so no MIDI mapping is necessary.

Secondly, the success of Console 1 has made it possible to make efficiencies in production, resulting in an MSRP drop from $849 to $499. The hardware has the same build quality as the original units, with some minor layout changes such as more visible LED markers.

All of these changes come in addition to the recently released software update, which added DAW control functions for Presonus Studio One and Cakewalk SONAR.

Greg Westall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Universal Audio, states: “Softube and Universal Audio share a lot of core values, like the importance of sound quality, ease of use, and a love for good music. Seeing that Universal Audio and Softube are longtime partners, and that Console 1 is a super intuitive control surface, it all just makes so much sense.”

Oscar Öberg, President of Softube, comments: “The concept of Console 1 has been extremely popular, and we haven’t been able to keep up with the demand. I’m excited that we finally are able to manufacture larger quantities of a Console 1 that’s not only better but also a lot more affordable.”

The new Console 1 Mk II units, and the software update with the UAD Powered Plug-Ins compatibility, will be available in Spring 2017. Upon release, existing Console 1 owners can download the updated software from www.softube.com and start using it with their Console 1-ready DAWs or plug-ins.

More in-depth information, including a must-see Console 1 Mk II video, is available here: http://softu.be/2jW2vBJ

Bitwig Announces BITWIG STUDIO 2!

From the beginning, the idea of modularity has been central to Bitwig Studio. While digital audio workstations (DAWs) aren’t known for taking a modular approach, creating Bitwig Studio from the ground up allowed us to rethink previous assumptions. This led us to focus not just on individual devices but on strengthening the ways they interact with and support one another. Within the Bitwig Studio 1 cycle the concepts of Nested Device Chains as well as Modulator Devices made it already one of the most flexible DAWs in the industry – in Bitwig Studio 2 the modularity concept has been developed further – The entire modulation system has been reworked and the idea of modulators has been reclaimed. Today we’re proudly presenting this next step on our journey towards a fully modular device architecture. Beside our focus on modularity, we also refined all other areas of the Bitwig Studio workflow.

Bitwig Studio 2 comes with 24 brand new modulators; from standard modulators like envelopes and LFOs – to more unique modulator types like Random, Select-4 and Math.
Each device in Bitwig Studio 2 (internal devices and external plug-ins) has individual modulation slots where an unlimited number of modulators can be added to a device and assigned to any number of parameters. Furthermore, the Modulators can also be interconnected for truly dynamic and expressive sound design possibilities. When using internal Bitwig instruments, many modulators can be set to polyphonic mode – enabling per-voice modulation – something previously only seen in closed systems.

New Devices

Apart from totally re-conceptualizing the modulation system and introducing an entirely new class of Modulator devices, we’re also expanding the standard device collection.

Here’s a list of the new additions:

  • Spectrum Analyzer
  • Pitch Shifter
  • Phaser
  • Treemonster
  • Multi-Note
  • Note Echo
  • Note Harmonizer
  • Note Latch
  • Note Length
  • Note Velocity

Better Hardware Integration

We’ve done a lot of work under the hood to revamp MIDI handling in Bitwig Studio; improving sync, note timing and adding MIDI Time Code.
We are also introducing a set of devices that will seamlessly integrate hardware via MIDI and CV/Gate:

  • MIDI Program Change
  • HW Clock out
  • HW CV Instrument
  • HW CV Out

Fades and Crossfades

We introduce fades and crossfades for audio clips not only in the arranger timeline but also audio editor and for audio events inside clips – for truly fast yet flexible editing. Naturally, the curve slopes of all fades can be adjusted.

VST3 Support

We’re happy to announce that we now support the VST3 plug-in standard – including per-note expression and sample accurate automation.

Device Updates

We’ve made lots of enhancements to our existing devices, improving both sound quality and usability. Several devices now include a spectrum analyzer and dynamic display panels. In many devices, we’ve re-organized, re-designed and added new features. With Bitwig Studio 2 we’ve also improved visualization of parameters, movement and signal flow.

Polysynth Updates

Since Bitwig Studio first came out, Polysynth has been our go-to synth for musicians and sound designers. With Bitwig Studio 2, we’ve expanded our Polysynth’s feature set further, by adding several oscillator mix and filter waveshaping modes. These new modes open up new possibilities for sound exploration; adding complex overtones and frequency modulation options to your sound palette.

Smart Tool Switching and improved Editor Workflow

With Bitwig Studio 2, we’ve improved the efficiency of our tools. You can now achieve many standard tasks without having to swap tools: depending on where you click, you can select multiple objects or time segments, edit fades or zoom and scroll.

The Dashboard handles many tasks that were previously available only in menus and other windows – such as locating and opening projects, configuring settings, installing packages and accessing help resources.

We’re introducing a new notification system, showing different types of messages in a clear, streamlined and non-intrusive format.

New Menu System

We’ve reworked the menu system extensively. Bitwig Studio 2 now features a context-aware menu system to keep the focus on the task at hand.

and more…

Bitwig Studio 2 will be available from selected retailers worldwide and from bitwig.com.
A free demo version will be available for download upon launch at www.bitwig.com.
