RENOBLE, FRANCE: music software company XILS-lab is proud to announce availability of Chor’X 1.5, a major update to its Bucket Brigade Delay Chorus plug-in, as of September 13…
Originally released last year to considerable critical acclaim, as implied by its obvious onscreen Bucket Brigade Delay Chorus legend, Chor’X is a bucket brigade delay emulation-based chorus plug-in providing several sought-after classic chorus effects and an advanced true stereo dynamic spacializer neatly wrapped in an eye-catching GUI gateway to tweaking its parameters in hitherto unseen speedy and spontaneous ways — allowing audio signals to be positioned in a true stereo space in intuitive fashion, for example.
There’s always room for improvement, of course. Chor’X is no exception to this unwritten rule of software development. Never happy to rest on its laurels, XILS-lab always strives to be the best at what it does and has worked hard to make Chor’X considerably better than ever via Version 1.5 — and not just in a shoddy emperor’s new clothes context either. Far from it, in fact. For above and beyond that tasty GUI XILS-lab has given the Chor’X concept an audio-visual makeover fit for a king!
First and foremost, this major update adds a fourth chorus algorithm — namely, V+ 330, adapted from XILS-lab’s luscious XILS V+ classic keyboard vocoder-emulating plug-in — alongside refined versions of the existing modules: SYNTHEX — adapted from XILS-lab’s sumptuous Synthix soft synth plug-in, DIM-D — dead giveaway, surely, and CS 80 — again, it’s all in the name!
At a surface level, the totally revamped GUI greatly enhances the workflow within with an ability to speedily switch between LEGACY and ADVANCED mo

Clearly, there was a time when a super-sounding onboard chorus represented the pinnacle of cutting-edge synth design, something XILS-lab is well versed in having developed several soft synths that pay homage to some synth classics. Now, thanks to Chor’X 1.5, some of those super-sounding chorus classics can be added to any DAW track — synth-based or otherwise! Why wait?
