UK based sample library and virtual instrument developers Wave Alchemy have officially announced the launch of their 2014 Producer Contest.
Entrants have a chance to win over £5,000 ($8000) of prizes; including Wave Alchemy’s entire back catalogue along with an exciting selection of prizes provided by some of the pro-audio industries’ leading companies/manufacturers!
Wave Alchemy has made a 1GB pack of free samples available to the world, which can be downloaded here (you are free to download and host the pack yourselves).
“We encourage entrants to be creative with the supplied free sounds; to process, re-arrange, cut and manipulate them to create an original piece of music. Along with the supplied sounds we very much encourage entrants to create original melodies, parts and patterns using synthesizers, drum machines, effects processors, and any of your own sounds/samples that you own a license for! Any genre or musical style is welcome…”
The competition runs for 30 days and track submissions are via Wave Alchemy’s Soundcloud Group Page.
